The National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) certification exam is specifically created to be prepared for by the Mayo Clinic Echocardiography Board Review Course, a 5-day intensive course. The entire field of echocardiography, including ultrasound physics, 2D and M-Mode, hemodynamics, valvular heart disease, ischemic heart disease, heart failure and cardiomyopathies, pericardial disease, congenital heart disease, and newer imaging techniques like strain and 3-D echocardiography, are covered with a focus on the NBE examination format. Mayo Clinic professors who are well-known authorities and respected educators in each area of echocardiography will deliver in-depth didactic presentations focused on the incorporation of echocardiographic data into clinical practice. An audience response system will be used to facilitate multiple choice question and answer sessions after each presentation.
This course is a great option for people who want to brush up on their knowledge of echocardiography because it offers a thorough study of the subject along with the concepts and pearls needed for the practical application of echocardiography.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Cardiologists, echocardiographers, and cardiology fellows are the target audience for this course. The most from this training will be gained by those who have a working knowledge of echocardiographic methods and applications.
